Biography
Tanya Nardone is an employment and labor law attorney with Nardone Law Group, LLC and represents closely-held businesses, including dental and other professional practices, in employment and labor law employment and labor matters. Ms. Nardone assists the firm’s professional practice and small business clients in matters such as:
- Interview process, hiring, and related documentation;
- Discipline, discharge, and related documentation;
- Compliance with federal and state employment regulations, such as discrimination laws, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Workers’ Compensation, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act;
- Equal Employment Opportunity/Ohio Civil Rights compliance and representation;
- Claims for unemployment compensation benefits;
- Legal research and advice on various employment issues;
- Internal and background investigations;
- Personnel System Development and updates, including, but not limited to, the development and/or updates to: (i) employment handbooks; (ii) structured interviews; and (iii) performance evaluations; and
- Negotiations, contract administration, and arbitration.
Ms. Nardone has also conducted many supervisory and employee trainings for employers on various employment related topics such as: (i) hiring and firing; (ii)discipline, discharge, and documentation; (iii) discriminatory harassment; (iv) performance evaluations; and (v)disability discrimination, and leave issues. Ms. Nardone has further expertise in representing professionals before their respective state boards related to their professional license
Ms. Nardone formerly served as a Management Consultant for Clemans, Nelson & Associates and an Assistant Attorney General for the Ohio Attorney General’s office under Betty Montgomery; and also served as a State Prosecutor and Equal Opportunity Analyst in the State of Florida.
